The culmination of our remarkable journey brought us to our own headquarters, nestled at the picturesque Fodor Farm in Norwalk, CT.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement as we hosted a press conference that featured a lineup of distinguished speakers who shared their invaluable insights on the future of clean transportation.
Daphne Dixon, the Executive Director of the Connecticut Southwestern Area Clean Cities Coalition, set the tone by underlining the collective commitment to sustainable mobility. Mayor Harry Rilling of the City of Norwalk, CT, shared his visionary perspective on the role of local governments in promoting clean transportation solutions.
The event also showcased the participation of Marriott Dowden from Avangrid/United Illuminating, Sean Tully from Eversource CT, Alec Slatky from AAA Northeast, and John Marine from Hertz – all of whom brought their industry expertise to the forefront. Among the attendees were representatives from CT Green Bank and members of the community, further illustrating the diverse fabric of those passionate about making our transportation systems cleaner and greener.
As the afternoon unfolded, we embarked on another enlightening journey – this time to the office of the First Selectwoman of Fairfield, CT, Brenda Kupchick. Our meeting with her was truly inspiring as we witnessed Fairfield's commitment to sustainable transportation in action. The new charging stations at the Town Hall stand as a testament to their dedication, and their plans to incorporate electric vehicles into the municipal fleet reaffirm their leadership in driving change.
The day at Fodor Farm was more than a culmination; it was a celebration of progress, collaboration, and the boundless potential of clean transportation. With our sights set on the future and the support of incredible partners, we're excited to continue this exciting adventure towards a greener world.
The Coast to Coast EV Road Trip will be returning in 2024! We continue our mission to champion electric vehicles and advocate for sustainable mobility nationwide.
